This policy explains what Professional Appraisers of Texas, Inc. (“we”, “us”), a real estate appraisal firm in East Texas, collects when we text you, and how we use it. Our general website privacy policy is at weappraisetexas.com/privacy-policy.

What we collect

• Your name and mobile phone number, given to us by you, or by the lender, appraisal management company or client who ordered an appraisal that involves you.
• The address of the property being appraised and the details needed to arrange the inspection.
• Your text messaging consent: when and how you agreed (or replied YES), and any STOP or HELP reply.
• The messages we exchange with you about the appraisal.

How we use it

Only to do the appraisal work and send the messages described in our SMS Terms & Conditions: arranging and confirming property inspections, order updates, invoices and receipts, quotes you asked for, referral notices to our network appraisers, staff work notices and sign-in codes. We do not send marketing or promotional texts.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your SMS opt-in data or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share information only as needed to deliver the messages (our text messaging provider) and to do the appraisal (the client who ordered it), or when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

With the appraisal file, for as long as appraisal records must be kept by law and professional standards. Your opt-out (STOP) is kept so we never text that number again unless you opt back in.
